ABOUT

In my practice, located on Belvedere Rd in Claremont, I analyse the body and spine for incorrect movement and postural distortion patterns and then through a series of gentle adjustments restore balanced and correct movement to the body and spine.

Why is that?

Quite simply, because movement of the spine hugely influences our body’s most important organ – the brain.

The brain is involved in everything we do – how we think, feel, make decisions, interact with others, find meaning, it controls all our physiology and, critically, is hugely involved in movement of our body.

Neuroscientists agree that our brains evolved to the complexity that it now has, not to think or feel, but to control and co-ordinate movement. It evolved under conditions of almost constant motion. From this we can predict that how well we move will ultimately influence how well our brains operate.

In other words, ‘we think better, when we move better’.

How well we move, and therefore how well our brains function, is hugely dependant on how well our spines move.

Correct movement and alignment within all the joints, especially in the spine, is now regarded as a required nutrient for the brain – something as important to your health as proper nutrition like water, protein, fats and carbohydrates.

It is true to say that the brain governs our ability to think, feel and act and when we are able to do these things well we are better able to achieve the things most of us want: to be healthier, happier, more harmonious and in love.
