Services includes :
- Mole mapping. This facility involves the use of computerised digital dermoscopy by which digital images of moles can be enlarged, analysed & stored for making comparisons at future visits. It is possible to identify cancerous moles( melanomas) at a very early stage which are not obvious to the naked eye. This also helps to avoid the unnecessary surgical removal of normal moles, so reducing unnecessary scars.
- Laser treatments. We have a variety of different lasers at the LCM Skin & Laser Clinic. A). The pulsed dye laser or vascular laser: with this laser we can treat conditions that have a red blood colour such as birth marks e.g. port wine marks, haemangiomas ( Strawberry like birthmarks), fine broken veins on the face & flushing. We can also treat warts & nail changes due to psoriasis. B). The Nd YAG laser: We use this special laser to remove tattoos & to treat pigmented freckles or liver spots. In addition, this laser is used for laser hair removal. We can do laser hair removal on all areas on different body parts, as long as hairs are dark coloured. Unfortunately red, grey or blonde hair does not react to laser. C). The Fraxel or Palomar laser: This laser has a unique technology as it sends columns of laser energy into the skin which then removes different scars such as acne scars, unsightly surgical or trauma scars, stretch marks, wrinkles from ageing & pigmentation. This laser can also act as an IPL treatment for treating sun damaged skin with mottling & wrinkles. D). CO2 Fx active laser/ Erbium laser. These lasers are used for skin resurfacing. The laser beam vaporises the outer layer of skin, leaving new skin to grow. Very effective for deep acne scars, severe wrinkles & blemishes.
