Dr Brenda Talbot

Dr Brenda Talbot is an Educational Psychologist who has a private practice in KwaZulu-Natal. She first qualified as an English teacher and school counsellor before obtaining her master’s degree (cum laude) in Educational Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban. Dr Talbot worked in Special Needs Education for eight years as an Educational Psychologist. She obtained her PhD (Child Psychology) from the University of the Free State, South Africa, in 2012.  She has been in private practice for 28 years. 

Dr Brenda Talbot works from a positive psychology perspective, focusing on each child’s strengths, to optimise their development and psychological wellbeing. Working holistically, Dr Talbot specialises in work with children and adolescents and their families.
