ABOUT
Dr Pieter Odendaal qualified as medical practitioner in 1998 at the University of Pretoria after which he completed his internship at Ga-Rankuwa Hospital in 1999.
In 2000 he completed his community service at Ermelo Provincial Hospital where he was employed until 2006 as Principal Medical Officer.
In 2007 he joined a private group practice where he provided general medical care, emergency medical care, in hospital patient management and sedation, and anaesthesia.
He completed courses in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), ATLS(Advanced Trauma Life Support) and sedation.
His other field of interest is in Integrative Medicine, looking at prevention of diseases and alternative treatments, in which he wishes to further his studies.
Services includes :
- Treatment of day to day acute illnesses like gastro-enteritis, colds, injuries, backache, etc..
- Cautherisation of skin lesions under local anaesthetic.
- Administering of oxygen and nebulizations
- Primary care and management of medical emergencies
- Biopsy under local anaesthetic of suspicious skin lesions to illicit a diagnosis.
