Dr Sudeshen Naidoo

Dr Sudeshen Naidoo obtained his Bachelor of Medicine (MBChB) at the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) in 2007, after which he completed his radiation oncology fellowship at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of the Witwatersrand.

During his time as a registrar, Dr Naidoo won the Best Registrar Poster Presentation in the country at the South African Society for Clinical and Radiation Oncology (SASCRO) 2013.

After qualifying as a radiation oncologist, Dr Naidoo went on to join the de Mûelenaere Oncology Group in 2015, where he is now a director and partner at the practice. He is also a director and board member of Pink Drive, South Africa's well-known and loved breast cancer organisation. The organisation provides free mammograms and breast examinations, and runs educational and fundraising projects around the country in collaboration with De Mûelenaere Oncology. The Public Benefit Organisation also runs mobile breast check units and educational cars, which travel to semi-urban and urban areas with the aim of enabling numerous disadvantaged communities access to diagnostic mammography screening, education, physical examinations and information on how to do breast self-examination.

In June of 2016, Dr Naidoo completed his Masters of Medicine in Radiation Oncology at the University of Witwatersrand and his research is currently being published in an accredited international journal. He is a member of the South African Society for Clinical and Radiation Oncologists (SASCRO) and the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology.

He has a special interest in breast cancer and is the chairman of numerous multidisciplinary tumour boards in Johannesburg.

Dr Naidoo is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on the Prevention and Control of Cancer in South Africa.

Dr Naidoo currently practises at the Sandton Oncology Centre, Lenmed Oncology, and Life Fourways Hospital.
