Dr Hugo Basson

Dr. Basson is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon, working full time at N1 City Hospital in Goodwood, Cape Town.

He specializes in shoulder and knee surgery. Dr. Basson makes use of minimally invasive surgical techniques (arthroscopic) and has expert knowledge of using computer assisted surgery for total knee replacements. Being a member of the South African Shoulder and Elbow Society as well as the South African Knee Society, he continually stays up to date with the latest developments in surgical techniques and the equipment available. He is concerned about every patient’s best long term outcome and therefore their improved quality of life.
