His private practice is situated in Bedfordview Shopping Centre where his services include dental implants, crowns and bridges, dentures, bite plate therapy, root canal treatment, complex fillings and maxillofacial prosthesis.
Services includes :
- Implants - Dental implants to replace teeth that are damaged or missing. Shaped like a sort of screw, dental implants are first embedded into a patient’s jaw before crowns are placed over them to secure the prosthetic teeth.
- Crowns & Bridges - A crown is a permanent cap that is placed over a damaged tooth to protect it and improve its function and appearance. Bridges are also a type of permanent crowns usually inserted when teeth near a damaged tooth are missing.
- Dentures - Dentures are inserted when a patient has many missing or damaged teeth and can replace a portion of teeth or all the teeth in the mouth. Dentures are also removable and can be made from either plastic or metal.
- Bite plate therapy - Bite plate therapy involves placing a bite plate over your existing teeth to protect them from damage when biting. People who grind their teeth (bruxer), clench their jaw or suffer from sleep apnoea can benefit from bite plate therapy.
- Root Canal Treatment - Also called endodontic treatment, root canal treatment helps relieve pressure on a tooth by removing the tooth's nerve tissue and filling the cavity left behind. The treatment is done to save a tooth.
- Complex Fillings- Some teeth that have suffered severe damage can be saved with complex fillings like pins or posts that hold them together. Veneers are also considered a complex filling material as it covers the teeth on the front to make it whiter.
- Maxillofacial Prosthesis - Maxillofacial prosthetics are used to help repair damage in the face and mouth caused by oral cancer. While it is a multidisciplinary field that involves several specialists, maxillofacial prosthetics for the mouth include mandibular-resection prostheses, speech-aid prosthesis and maxillary obturators.
