ABOUT
I qualified from Nelson Mandela Medical School in Durban in 1998. I did my internship at Groote Schuur Hospital in 1999 and fell in love with Cape Town. I did my community service in Nongoma, which is a rural town in KZN and then went over to the UK, where I worked in psychiatry for the next 5 years. There, I gained valuable experience in General Adult Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Eating Disorders, Forensic Psychiatry and Addictive Behaviour. I returned to Cape Town in 2006, and joined the University of Stellenbosch psychiatry department and completed my specialist training in psychiatry. I have worked at Tygerberg, Lentegeur and Stikland Hospitals before going into private practice in 2011.
