She trained and specialised both in the United Kingdom and South Africa, and has over 25 years senior experience practising Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetes. From 2012 – 2019 she served as Professor of Medicine and Chair of the UK Clinical Programme, St George’s International School of Medicine.
